Career Planning

“What do you want to be when you grow up?”

It’s one of the most important decisions your son or daughter will make–and a nearly impossible one to answer as a teenager!

Approximately 65-70 percent of our work with students at College Liftoff involves career development work. All in all, this equates to about 40 hours of personalized career development work with your child. This includes:

  • Working one-on-one to assess your child’s strengths and passions
  • Research into college programs and majors (and how they correlate with real jobs today)
  • Job shadowing

In addition, we offer a myriad of seminars geared towards students with specialized interests and extracurriculars (i.e. sports, music, art and performing arts). We connect our students with professionals in these areas and work one-on-one to incorporate their athletic and art experience into their overall higher education plan.

We offer the same level of support for teens with special needs, learning differences, and IEPs.

Through one-on-one work and seminars, we will guide your student through his or her best-fitting career options and help chart the course to get there.
